Kanye's Blog Ghostwriters

As longtime fans of Kanye West's excellent blog, we've often wondered how someone so busy manages to knock out fifteen daily posts on topics as varied as architecture, robots, and puppetry. He's long denied using a ghost blogger — but how, then, practically, does he do it? We ran into him last night at the Metropolitan Opera's 125th Anniversary Gala and asked.

Here's what he told us:

"It might [blog for] two hours in a day, it might be fifteen minutes in a day. I have two people that I hired and I tell them exactly what I want — it's just like how a designer would work. I tell them, you know, Surface magazine, Wallpaper, Architectural Digest, Hypebeast, Bossip — go to these different blogs and keep on pulling information. And then they send it to me, and I get like 80 e-mails, and I have to check and go through them. And sometimes I'll have my own stuff where I'll just be in a cool place, like if I had my camera right now, I'd like photograph this stuff and go home and be really excited to blog it. You know, cause I'm in cool places all the time. So it's a great outlet, and I'm glad so many people are reacting to it. And it's another opportunity to present design and my opinion of the world and what I think is cool."

So there you go — if you want a blog as successful as Kanye's, it's as simple as having a camera, a staff of two, and a guy who goes to cool places all the time.

Kanye West to be on The Cleveland Show

Kanye West made his animated debut in his video for "Heartless," but soon fans will get to see 'Ye in an actual cartoon. Last week, West did a table read and recorded an episode for the new Fox animated series "The Cleveland Show."

The "Family Guy" spinoff is set to premiere this fall, with Kanye's episode airing in 2010. "It was surprising to us that [he] was so into it that he came to the table [read], and wonderfully surprising how cool he was, how funny he was and how unassuming he was," executive producer and voice actor Mike Henry told People. "He's just a great presence."

On the show, West plays MC Kenny West, who, unlike Kanye, hasn't found fame in the rapping game. "We knew Kanye was a big 'Family Guy' fan because he invited [creator] Seth [MacFarlane] to his house a year or two ago," said Henry, who voices the new show's main character, Cleveland Brown. "And there was a mention on his blog when the spinoff was announced that he was excited about it. We knew he was a big fan, and a lot of us are fans of his."

The greatest after party of all time

Give me shorts!!!!

I'm really debating on what kind of shorts to wear for summer. I am excited that I can start to feel this warm weather coming. I will not even attempt to wear cropped shorts, or anything that does not at least reach my knee, because I am a slim dude. I want billowy shorts in black, like those rickie owens ones, or the the lanvin ones. But both are super expensive. Marc Jacobs did a short the same length and style as the red ones, and only run around 2 or 3 I think, which isn't as bad as 5 or 6, which is the minimum you would hit with Lanvin and Rick Owens. What length will you be sporting this summer?

If you are ever going to invest in an oxford, have it be a Band of Outsiders one. The genius of Sternberg is he takes something as classic and simple as an oxford, and gives it a modern interpretation by simply cropping the length of the shirt, and at times giving it a washed out aesthetic.

This is the labels first fall collection for men. I like the simplicity of this line. Each individual piece would be a solid addition to anyone's wardrobe. It is very wearable which is good, no hidden meaning, or further interpretation.

I posted this a little while ago on my facebook page, but I dont know if anyone saw it or not, lol. This is a sic impression of Too Short. Cudi is nice, if you cant tell, I'm a fan.

sidebar: I was thinking the other day, with the internet and all can anyone really say any specific genre of music sucks. That seemed to be the cool thing to say like 5 years ago. But with the internet do we not have more choice, so really that argument seems invaluable to me. If you do not like what is on the radio, just find people who are making music you like via blog, etc. Technology is a wonder.

I love this collection. LVMH is rumored to be "watching him." Expect to see more from this Parisian in the future. I am feeling the drop crotch trousers and jeans. I think harem pants on women are sexy, you know similiar silhoutte and all. I dont know if i could pull the drop crotch off though. But regardless, this is a perfect look for summer.
